About
Build what people are already asking for.
This is a free, searchable library of startup ideas taken from complaints people post in public. Each idea has the evidence link, a Hotness score, and an agent-ready build prompt. The page is free. The prompt is a credit.
How ideas are found
- We watch high-engagement discussions in public communities, starting with Reddit, and we expect to add other public sources.
- We keep threads above an engagement floor, inside a rolling window. Report 01 used Sep 14 to Oct 14, 2026.
- We extract the recurring problem.
- Editors rewrite it into a clear problem and a proposed solution.
- We link the original thread. We quote a short title excerpt. We do not republish the post.
How ideas are scored
Hotness is a 1 to 5 number from six signals: pain 25%, willingness to pay 20%, demand 20%, competition gap 15%, ease of build 10%, recency 10%. Tiers run from Cool under 2.5 up to Scorching at 4.0 and above. Recency is recomputed on every build, so an idea cools unless new evidence is added. A worked example sits on each idea page under “Why this score.” The source report’s own 1–10 number is kept in the data file and is not shown as ours.
How we organize them
Groups, categories, audiences, industries, business models, difficulty, and time to a first version. A category page is indexed once it has at least five ideas. A facet page needs five. A topic page needs three ideas and a real introduction. Thinner pages still exist, with noindex, so nothing is a dead end. Free-form tags never get their own URL.
What is free and what is paid
- Free: every idea page, the evidence, and the FAQ.
- Paid: prompt credits ($9.99, $29, $49) and a $499 yearly pass. The first credit comes with email signup.
- The build: an MVP in two weeks for $10,000, or five working days for $15,000, after a $1,000 scoping fee.

Questions
Are these ideas taken?
No. They are free to build. Other people may build them too. The prompt is the paid document, not a license to the idea.
Can I build one?
Yes.
How often is it updated?
When a new report is merged. Publishing is staggered so this site is the first public home of the evidence.
Can I submit a pain point?
Email sponsors@realstartupideas.com with the public link. We do not promise to add it.
